H I S T O R Y
This Lisa is a bit complicated. After she died, the profound level of Dracula's grief and anger caused her to be unable to rest, so her spirit lingered in the castle, where she stayed mostly in the Chapel to pray for her husband. She tried to make her way to the Throne Room on many different occasions, but was always unable. It wasn't until her son, Alucard, defeated Dracula that she was again reunited with him.

However, she was still unable to find peace. Even though Dracula had seemed to truly pass on, she knew that it was only a matter of time before someone attempted to call him back, and part of her wanted to wait for him. The majority of the reason for her presence on Earth, however, is her concern for her son. She wants to be able to watch over him as much as she can.

Because she wasn't strong enough to travel too far, she decided to stay at the castle to wait for both of them, since their return was inevitable.

As the years passed, she began to gain a little more strength, finding herself able to venture out of the Chapel and into other areas of the castle. During one of her journeys, she came upon a witch that she had known in life. After explaining her situation, the witch gave her an amulet that allowed her a solid, stable form. As long as she wears that amulet, she is as real as any human.

Unfortunately, the gift came too late, and it had been hundreds of years since Alucard left, so even if she were to leave the castle to find him, she would have no idea where he could be. So, she stays in the castle, carefully looking over everything while her husband and son are both gone, in hopes of reuniting with them.

As far as heritage goes, this Lisa is German (maiden name Farenheights) but moved to Romania at a young age where she would later meet her husband. She has also spent years studying various languages in the castle's library, although most of her knowledge of current English is dated, so she tries her best to accommodate her speech accordingly. She still has a tendency to speak formally.
